Which YouTube video links work?
Use a YouTube watch URL, a youtu.be share link or a Shorts URL that opens the exact video you want to save. A channel page or playlist link is not a substitute for an individual video link. Keep a permitted copy of a tutorial, your own presentation or a Short you created. Private, removed and login-restricted videos may be unavailable even when you still have their links.
Compare the resolution, file extension and audio note before downloading. HD or 4K appears only when a compatible format is available; a higher label cannot restore detail missing from the source. Some high-resolution options need video and audio combined, so preparation can take longer. For your own uploads, YouTube Studio and Google Takeout also offer download options. Follow the applicable platform terms and save only content you are allowed to download.

Only if a compatible 1080p or 2160p format is returned and the request fits the service limits. Uploading in 4K does not guarantee that PixaTok can access a 4K download. Higher resolutions can also require more processing time and storage.
