Image Resizer settings and tips
Use the image resizer to prepare profile photos, product pictures, blog graphics and document images for a specified width and height. For example, enter 1080 by 1080 pixels with Fill and crop for a square image, or 1280 by 720 for a 16:9 canvas. Check the receiving website’s current requirements before choosing a size.
Fit scales the entire image proportionally inside your requested bounds. A 1600 by 800 image fitted inside 1000 by 1000 becomes 1000 by 500 pixels; it does not add a square border. Fill and crop produces the exact target size by cropping edges. Stretch produces the exact size by changing proportions.
Smaller pixel dimensions often reduce file size, but the output format and quality also matter. For a byte-size limit, compare the resized file and use the Image Compressor if necessary. Enlarging a small image increases the pixel count without restoring missing detail. Very large outputs may exceed the processing limits.
