Image Compressor settings and tips
Image compression reduces the bytes in a file; image resizing changes its pixel dimensions. Use the compressor for website photos, email attachments and product images when you want to keep the current width and height. If your upload also needs smaller dimensions, use the Image Resizer.
Balanced aims for a practical mix of file size and visible quality. Smaller file applies stronger color reduction or photo compression. Keep detail preserves decoded PNG and WebP pixels; for a JPEG source it retains the existing compression settings, but JPEG re-encoding is not a guarantee of pixel-identical output. Every preset removes embedded metadata.
The reduction depends on the original image, format and settings. An already optimized image may have little room for improvement, and the exported file can be larger. Compare the preview and measured file size before saving. There is no fixed KB target or guaranteed percentage reduction.

There is no exact KB target. Try a stronger compression preset or lower quality, then check the measured output size. If you also need fewer pixels, resize the image first.
The queue accepts up to 20 images, with a 25 MB limit per file and a 100 MB limit for the full queue. Images are processed one at a time, and each result has its own download.
Compression keeps the image dimensions. PNG and WebP support transparency; JPG does not. Choose an output format that supports the features you need, then compare the result.
Yes. Choose GIF, WebP, PNG or TIFF output to retain multiple frames. JPG and BMP output are rejected for multi-frame images. Large animations may exceed the processing limits.
Images are uploaded to the processing service for compression. The exported file removes embedded metadata such as EXIF camera details and GPS coordinates.
