About the image converter
Image formats are built for different needs. JPEG is widely compatible for photos, PNG is useful for lossless graphics and transparency, and WebP can provide efficient web delivery. GIF, BMP and TIFF support other legacy or production workflows.
Changing the file extension alone does not convert an image. This tool decodes the original and creates a new file in the selected format. Some features, such as transparency or animation, may not be available in every destination format, so review the result before using it.
