Image Cropper settings and tips
Cropping changes the framing by removing pixels outside a rectangle. Use it to center a product, trim a screenshot or turn a landscape photo into a square. Unlike resizing, cropping does not scale the pixels you keep; output encoding and quality settings can still affect their appearance.
Left offset is the X position from the left edge, and Top offset is the Y position from the top edge. For a 1200 by 800 image, Left offset = 200, Top offset = 0, width = 800 and height = 800 keeps a centered square. The starting point plus the crop width and height must stay inside the source dimensions.
For a 16:9 crop, use matching dimensions such as 1280 by 720, provided the rectangle fits your image. For 9:16, use 720 by 1280. There are no ratio buttons or a draggable crop box: enter the desired dimensions, process the image and review the preview. Use the Image Resizer afterwards if you need another output size.

Yes. Enter dimensions with the desired ratio, such as 1280 by 720 for 16:9 or 720 by 1280 for 9:16. Use a smaller rectangle with the same ratio if those dimensions exceed your source image.
X is the Left offset: the number of pixels from the left edge to the start of the crop. Y is the Top offset: the number from the top edge. Set both to zero to start at the top-left corner.
The crop is rejected. X plus crop width must not exceed the image width, and Y plus crop height must not exceed the image height. Check the detected source dimensions before processing.
